A similar curvilinear relationship exists among non-OIC countries
(Figure 20).However, the
poverty level at which the relationship turns negative is higher (60%) and concerns a fewer
proportion of countries than in the OIC world. In contrast, the positive relationship between
poverty and anaemia among countries where poverty rate is below 60% is slightly weaker
among non-OIC countries.
