Organization: This dimension consists of the indicators in Part 1 of the Standard Self-
Assessment Questionnaire (SSAQ) and summarizes the environment under which agricultural
statistics are compiled in the member countries. The components of this dimension are:
1. The Legal Framework
2. The Organization and Coordination of Statistical Activities
3. Availability of a Strategic Framework
4. Existence of a Sub-National Statistical System
5. Collaboration with Regional and International Institutions
Resources: This dimension consists of the indicators in Part 3 of SSAQ and summarizes the
resources allocated to agricultural statistics. The components of this dimension are:
1. Financial Resources
2. Human Resources
3. Physical Resources
Methodology: This dimension consists of the last two questions (1.4) in Part 1, last question
(2.3) data source and geographical coverage columns in output tables (2.1) in Part 2 and Part 5
of SSAQ. It summarizes the integration into the external world through the use of international
classifications and methodological development in terms of data sources, geographical
coverage, methodology of censuses and surveys conducted and frames used. The components
of this dimension are:

Timeliness: This dimension consists of indicators in Part 2 and Part 5 of SSAQ and attempts
to measure the timeliness of agricultural statistics for different categories of outputs listed
above, namely
