 Managing and monitoring of survey equipment in the region; tracking statistics on
production, farms and farm markets
Integration and Coordination of Agricultural Statistics: In general, coordination
throughout the compilation of agricultural statistics between responsible institutions and even
within the departments of ministries is not at the desired level and there is no information and
knowledge sharing mechanism. In MINEPIA each technical department collects administrative
statistics related to its own activities and send them by following the Cell Surveys and Statistics
(CES) of the Division of Studies and Cooperation (DEPC). In reality, the various services hardly
collect data related to their activities so that the ESC has almost nothing to compile. These
offices act independently when they should work with the CES is the body 23 of the policy
statistics MINEPIA. This raises a problem of coordination in this ministry.
