The surveys lists are prepared and assigned by the CICT of MJA. In the end, the statistical units
based within the local agricultural agencies and centers for agricultural extension and services,
serve as the lowest organizational ranks in generating statistics. They are considered the
executive arms for statistical surveys within the MJA.
Once the requirements and priorities to implement the relevant surveys are determined, the
general frameworks based on agricultural census are outlined and produced. The
questionnaires for each phase of activity are then devised. Then, training seminars are set up
around the country. Survey officers, who are agricultural experts, are enrolled in the seminars.
They become familiar with the frameworks and in completing the questionnaires.
When surveying agricultural and horticultural products, planning should be done in such a
way that the officers are dispatched to the farms at the end of the harvesting season. While
completing the questionnaires and extracting data, CICT of MJA and SCI constantly monitor the
best practices at the national level, using provincial supervisors.
vi. Dissemination of Agricultural Statistics
The dissemination date for the results of the statistical activities is included in the scheduled
annual work programme of SCI. This work programme is revised annually.

In the form of various publications, the SCI annually publishes about 120 titles, which are the
results of the surveys it conducted. The publications include official statistics of the country,
which are administrative records and/or are collected through surveys conducted by the SCI
or other government organizations.
The aforementioned data can be accessed via the ‘Publications Database’, prepared in English
and Persian. The English version includes only publications, published in English by the SCI.

It is worth mentioning that all SCI publications apart from the following are published in
Persian.
There are several websites for the dissemination of agricultural statistics with modest access
to agricultural statistics, with limited functionalities and online database capabilities. These
websites can be found in Annex 5. Mostly, languages of the main publications are Persian but
