Another important issue for analyzing agricultural production in the COMCEC
is agricultural productivity (yield). To analyze the yield level in the COMCEC Region,
above-mentioned products’ yields are given in Figure 5.2.
As can be seen from this Figure, average yields in the COMCEC Member
Countries were lower than the values of developed countries, OECD countries and
world averages. African Group countries decrease the COMCEC’s average in corn,
whereas Arab Group countries decrease the averages in rice and cotton and Asian
Group countries decline the average of the COMCEC Region in potatoes.
