analysis is also a useful tool that compares the changes in the zone of influence of a transport
project from before to after the project is completed. A range of parameters may be chosen for
the evaluation pertaining to land use such as property development, agricultural change and
also topics like deforestation and land degradation and this has been carried out in Kenya and
is also applied in Uganda. Ultimately, wider impact evaluation of transport and other public
sector investment projects will be guided by the Sustainable Development Goals.
