Implementation Cost

The cost of implementation in terms of altering existing facilities to become more Muslim-

friendly is surely another challenge facing Muslim-friendly standards. Investors need to be

willing to change or upgrade existing facilities to be Muslim-friendly. This could be

particularly problematic for international chains which have a very strict standardization of

their facilities and services and which will not commit to making large if the expected return

is not at least equal to the investment
