gender gap persisted.

young
people

Jordan are literate.
In addition to the policies already mentioned, and in conjunction with other events, a
broad set of policies that included social safety nets resulted in a steady decline in extreme
poverty.
Figure 70shows the shares of the population living on less than US$ 2 per day in
Jordan and MENA.
