Low Income OIC Member Countries
Low income refers to an income (GNI per capita; Current US$) level that is US$1,005 or less. In
this regard, the low income OIC Member Countries are Afghanistan, Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad,
Comoros, the Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Senegal, Sierra-Leone,
Somalia, Togo and Uganda.
In the low income group, GDP per capita (PPP; Current International$) levels vary between $978
and $2,568
(Figure 9). One third of these countries have GDP per capita levels which are lower
than $1,500, namely Niger, Mozambique, Togo, Guinea and Sierra Leone.
