countries is 43 per cent in 2018. However the share of OIC countries in global FDI inflows

remained significantly lower, below 7 per cent 2017.

When looked into detail the performance of the OIC countries in attracting the FDI, the

performance of the Member Countries, except for a few countries, is low. Figure 58 below gives

the FDI inflows to top ten OIC Member States. FDI inflows to these countries amounted to USD

78.9 billion in 2018, representing less than 1% percent of the total global FDI flows. The figure

59 below indicates that Comoros, Guinea-Bissau, Gambia, Kyrgyzstan, Mauritania, Togo,

Afghanistan, Suriname, Benin and Palestine are the OIC countries received the lowest FDI flow

in 2018.
