enforce preventive measures)

education/training (for staff in a continuous and sustainable way)

internal audit (that ensures the proper functioning and implementation of the CP)

As per the application process, it is done with the Director-General of Regional Customs in five

steps as is shown in Figure 2.6. The first step includes a prior consultation with Customs. While

this step is not obligatory, it helps applicants complete and fulfill the requirements of

becoming an AEO.
