Agricultural Censuses: The DOSM conducted its last agricultural census in 2005. It was
carried out as a complete enumeration by using the list frame. This census covered crops,
livestock, aquaculture, fishery, and forestry relevant to agriculture (logging activities) sub-
sectors as well as other income generating activities. It was linked to the population census
and the cartographic material, and the administrative boundaries of population census were
also used. In order to get the sampling frame for agriculture census, some additional questions
were included in population census, with the aim to collect information on households
participating in the agriculture sector. The next agriculture census is estimated to be
conducted in 2015. The meetings with the relevant agencies to initiate this census will be
conducted in March 2014. Publications of census results are at the national and state levels.
