into the Single Window but the increase in agencies does not increase the number of contact
points for the trader, as it remains one digital contact point with the SingleWindow. The number
of contact points for economic operators however remain two digital contact points.

As can be seen in this example, the front office digitisation results in a single data entry location
through which end-users access government agencies and other service providers, using a
single submission or at least a common data set. In the back office, processing is automated so
that faster and more secure decisions can be taken and returned to the end-users.
In the back office process, redundancies are eliminated and joined and shared processes
enabled. Separate organisations and departments can exchange information and share
